CoCo Harris is a native of Atlanta, GA and is a mother of three daughters. As a lifetime diarist, she is drawn to personal narratives. For years she has guided others on crafting personal narratives through creative writing workshops and various memoir projects and publications.
Her story began in Atlanta, Georgia, and has traversed the Washington DC Metro area; Nigeria, West Africa: Seattle, WA; Louisville, KY; Savannah, GA, the Golden Isles; Lewisburg, PA and Upstate, SC. Though she now lives in Greenville, SC, CoCo is particularly at home anywhere sun and surf meet -- especially the Hawai'i Islands.
At Howard University, she earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and continued with graduate work in African Studies, while starting her Intellectual Property Law career working for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She later entered the National Patent Bar becoming a patent law professional representing individuals, firms, and corporations in the US and internationally.
On the other side of her life and brain, she received her Master of Fine Arts in Writing in Fiction from Spalding University, and is a Zora Neale Hurston/Richard Wright Foundation alumna. She is the Founding Editor of Telling Our Stories Press. She is the Editor of several anthologies of short memoirs including:
REVERIE: Ultra Short Memoirs; ROLL: A Collection of Personal Narratives; IMPACT: An Anthology of Short Memoirs; SO LONG: Short Narratives of Loss; REFLECTIONS: Ultra Short Narratives; and Remembrance; TURNS: A Collection of Short Memoir Chapbooks;

Two of her anthologies IMPACT and REVERIE have been adapted into Stageplays.
CoCo's photography is showcased in exhibits and in literary journals as she shares globetrotting images from her photodiary and photonarrative essays.
