Contests, and Anthology Submissions
All work should include
Entry Information comprising the following:

Contact
Information (Address or Email or Phone)
Title
of Your Piece, if any
Pen
name, if applicable
If accepted, entrants
will be notified via e-mail and/or mail, thus contact information is necessary.
Each entrant must agree
to the Terms of Submission for online submissions, as prompted to indicate such
via checking the appropriate box. As for mailed submissions, a signed copy of
the Terms of Submission should accompany said submission(s).
All entries must be
original and previously unpublished in a book, nationally distributed
periodical or Web-based magazine or journal. Entries must be in English and
submitted by the author; and for nonfiction submissions, they must be true.
Entrants must be at
least 14 years old. Minors must provide parental signature on Terms of
Submission for Minors form and must provide submission by Mail.
Multiple submissions accepted.
One person may submit more than one entry, but each entry must be accompanied
by the appropriate Reading Fee for Anthology submissions and Entry fee for
Literary Contests.
I understand that I
hold the rights to my individual work, and I am hereby granting permission to
Telling Our Stories Press to publish my submitted work in part, or in whole as
indicated above. I understand that I have the option to receive credit for my
submission(s) by being named as the author of my submission(s). I also understand
that I may opt to use pseudonyms, initials, or anonymity at any time, for any
submission(s) to protect privacy.
I
understand that I am giving permission for my creative writing(s) and/or art
submitted, hereinafter referred to as submission(s), for use by Telling Our
Stories Press. I understand that my
submission(s) may be used in subsequent publications in print and/or electronic
form on the Internet in creative writing publications and/or educational purposes
by Telling Our Stories Press.
Any
Internet publications will be for the purposes of posting on web sites
associated with Telling Our Stories Press, such as, for example, www.tellingOurStoriesPress.com,
www.TheDiaryBank.com;
www.ShortMemoir.com; www.UltraShortMemoir.com; www.LiftingOurVoices.com;
www.OralMemoir.com; and www.SpeakingInWe.com. Furthermore, if selected,
submission(s) may be included in anthologies, books, or publications edited
and/or produced by Telling Our Stories Press. Telling Our Stories Press is
under no obligation to publish every submission.
Furthermore,
providing submissions in no way places any obligation whatsoever to purchase
forthcoming publication(s) in which his or her submission(s) may appear.
Due
to formatting restrictions, Telling Our Stories Press retains the right to
reformat the entries for size and placement on the website and/or print
publication(s). Though we will make every effort to preserve section breaks and
forms, we may not be able to guarantee retention of format of the author's
original writing.
I
understand that minor edits which, may include grammar and usage corrections,
spelling corrections, mechanics clarifications, and/or excerpting may be
performed, if necessary, without changing the scope of the submission(s); and
that in the event of any significant editing, I will be presented with the
edited version for review before the publication of any of said submission(s).
